Never stop crafting
I did not sell a single scarf at festival this year. Did that stop me from starting another one the day after festival?

No. No it did not.
I did sell quite a few of my hats, which was surprising. The weather this fall has been much warmer on average and it’s only now that we’re starting to get closer to normal (but still warmer than usual) and that’s made it harder than one would expect to sell things like scarves–which, let’s be honest, people are going to need much sooner than they realize. There is a part of me that’s leaning toward starting to do more and different crochet work and that is likely to be a thing over the coming seasons. Yarn is one of those supplies that I have a tendency to pick up with a vague idea in mind and then either start something right away or have things sit for a few weeks or months before I get to them.
But I never quite stop imagining.
I did hear an interesting factoid a while back – crafts such as crochet and knitting (and other, similar repetitive motion hand crafts) can put us into a state that’s much like meditation. It’s stress-relieving and the creative aspects of it are also good for mental health. So even if my collecting of supplies and actual crafting are two separate hobbies and one is filling my space probably more than it should, I’m not going to stop because at the end of the day, it’s good for my brain.
Moral of the story: don’t stop. Try something new. And even if you don’t sell a single scarf at a show, they’re still worth making.
